Your bookshelf, but softer
Some shelves are just shelves.
Others feel like a little world.
The Nooklyn Bookshelf Lantern is a tiny lantern that hangs right between your books — no drills, no tools, no marks.
Just a thin support plate that slides between two books and holds a warm little glow above them.
Turn it on at dusk, and your reading corner suddenly feels like somewhere you'd want to stay.
Loved on cozy bookshelves everywhere
✓ Turns a plain shelf into a mood
That warm little glow changes everything. One tiny lantern makes the whole shelf feel curated, cozy, and personal — the kind of corner you actually want to sit near.
✓ Slides in, no tools, no damage
The thin metal plate slips between two books and holds the lantern steady. No drilling, no sticky mounts, no bent pages. Setup takes under a minute.
✓ Real wrought-iron look, not cheap plastic
The scrollwork arm is finished in matte black with fine ornate details. The lantern hangs on a real chain and lights up with a soft amber LED — the kind of glow that actually looks like candlelight.
✓ Switch it on and off when you want
Runs on small button batteries hidden inside. Flip it on for evenings, off during the day. Nothing to plug in, no cords running down your shelf.

Frequently asked questions
Does the plate really stay between the books without falling?
Yes. The plate is thin but sturdy, and once it's slid between two books that sit flush on the shelf, the weight of the books holds it firmly. It won't shift with normal use.
How long do the batteries last?
On regular evening use of a few hours a night, the button batteries last several weeks before needing a swap. They're widely available and easy to replace.
Is the light bright enough to actually notice?
It's designed as an ambient glow, not a reading light. The soft amber LED is bright enough to catch the eye in a dim or evening-lit room, giving that cozy lantern feel.
Will it fit any bookshelf?
As long as you have two books that sit upright next to each other with a bit of space between them, the plate slides right in. It works on standard shelves, cube shelves, and even between larger hardcovers.
