If You Have A Bookshelf, Start Here
You have a bookshelf. It holds your books just fine. But your eye slides right past it.
Now picture a small cat sitting on that edge, one paw reaching down, holding a tiny lantern below the shelf.
The light hangs over the edge instead of sitting on the shelf.
The corner glows. And something is finally in there with you.
Over 9,000 shelf lanterns shipped this season
✓ Turns a dead shelf edge into the best spot
Most decor sits on top and gets lost. Ledgekit straddles the edge and drops its lantern below the shelf line, so the light lands where nothing was.
✓ Warm glow you'll leave on all evening
The little LED lantern gives off a soft amber light, not a harsh white one. Perfect for reading at night without the overhead bulb.
✓ The lantern lifts right out of his paw
Take it out and carry it to your nightstand. Two pieces, so you get the cat and a small light you can move.
✓ No tools, no drilling, no sticky pads
Set him on the edge and you're done in seconds. Nothing to install, nothing to peel off your shelf later.

Frequently asked questions
How thick can my shelf be?
He's built to straddle shelf edges up to about 1 inch thick. Standard bookcase shelves, floating shelves, and most nightstands work fine.
How is the lantern powered?
It runs on a small button cell battery inside the lantern. One is included, and swapping it takes about a minute.
Can I leave the light on overnight?
You can, but it will shorten battery life. Most people click it on for an hour or two in the evening and off before bed.
Will he tip if my shelf is full of books?
No. His weight sits behind the edge, so books in front or behind him won't unbalance him. Just keep the paw side clear.
